Maxine Kaufman-Lacusta presents her recent book – an interview-based study in which more than 100 Israeli and Palestinian nonviolent activists share hopes and visions, and discuss effective strategies and challenges faced in pursuing the goal of a just peace.
Maxine is a Canadian Quaker with a Jewish background. She lived in Jerusalem for seven years and has written widely on Palestinian and Israeli nonviolent activism and related topics.

We're teaming up with Luton and Leighton Area Link Group; for twice the link group = twice the fun!!
There will be the usual array of fun stuff to do, music, hanging out, games, eating (possibly BBQ) and some interesting speaker/workshops on the theme of sustainability with lots of time inbetween to make new friends and catchup with old ones.

Simon Best, is Woodbrooke’s tutor for Nurturing Friends & Meetings. He is passionate about the potential for Quaker meetings to be all-age faith communities, rooted in their surroundings.
Simon gave the George Gorman lecture at BYM in 2011 and will lead a day long workshop exploring Living Community. Cost per participant £25, includes afternoon refreshments, bring a packed lunch or eat in the cafe.
