Holy Spirit or Wholly Human?

Quakers from all over the British Isles came to Friends House on Saturday 7 May, to take part in the ninth London Quaker Dialogue, chaired by Beth Allen.

  • What do we mean by ‘spirituality’? Do we think of it as a divine gift or a human attribute?
  • Whether divine or human, how do we find the words to talk about it in an essentially secular society?
  • However we choose to speak of spirituality, what does it mean in action and how does it play out in our everyday lives?

David Boulton, journalist, broadcaster, author of 22 books including The Trouble with God and Who on Earth was Jesus? (O-Books), member of Brigflatts Local Quaker Meeting and convenor of the Nontheist Friends Network UK.
