Schedule for the Day:

Streatham & Brixton Friends Meeting

We have three rooms available to hire in an attractive and peaceful location with good transport links.

The rooms are suitable for meetings, training sessions, exercise classes and community support groups.

A flip chart and a computer projector with a screen are available for a small additional charge.

The rooms for hire are:

Elizabeth Fry room: holds 40 people and costs £16 per hour or £105 per day.

Quaker presence at People's Climate March, 21st September

Sunday, 21 September, 2014 - 12:00 to 15:00

Join people around the world to call for strong global action on climate change and to challenge the power of the fossil fuel industry.

The day of action has been called because on September 23rd global leaders will be meeting in New York for the Climate Summit organized by UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon. See www.un.org/climatechange/summit.

About us

Six Weeks Meeting is a Quaker institution dating back to 1671. Its main objective is to maintain, preserve and insure the places of worship in the seven London Area Meetings and it does this using Pooled Funds and assets it holds on their behalf. Trustees are appointed by the Area Meetings.

Seminar Room

This smaller room is ideal for small group discussions, interviews or as a classroom. 

Main Meeting Room (10.3 x 9.1m)

This high-ceilinged room has tall windows on one side overlooking the quiet and well-kept Burial Ground, which provide plenty of sunshine and light. It is furnished with historic cushioned wooden benches and footstools in an open square format. It is fully accessible from the street with just one small step (with ramp for wheelchair users). The benches can sit 60 people in comfort and 90 more cosily.
